The Lafayette County Land Information Council Committee has retained Benzing Surveying, LLC and their staff to complete this year's Public Land Survey System Perpetuation & Maintenance Project. This project involves finding existing survey monuments and re-establishing any disturbed or missing monuments as designated by the County. Many of these corners are located on private property.
The 2022 project area is within parts of Town of Argyle, Town of Blanchard, Town of Fayette, Town of Gratiot, Town of Lamont, Town of Willow Springs, Town of Wiota, and Village of Blanchardville.

Benzing Surveying and staff may need to access these survey monuments according to Wisconsin Statute 59.73(2). Their staff, typically dressed in high visibility clothing, uses the following vehicles all of which are marked with the company name and phone number:
- Silver Trucks with Black Toppers
- Orange Honda Pioneer 1000 UTV
- Green Honda Foreman ATV
