LAFAYETTE COUNTY JAIL

The Wisconsin Statutes (§59.27) state that the Sheriff's duties include (to) "Take the charge and custody of the jail maintained by the county and the persons in the jail, and keep the persons in the jail personally or by a deputy jailer."  The Lafayette County Jail, under the supervision of Jail Administrator Sgt. Darrell Morrissey is charged with maintaining a secure, safe and humane detention facility for its inmates while safeguarding the communities served by the jail.  The jail is staffed by highly trained, professional deputies committed to implementing the policies and procedures that meet the evolving needs of both the facility and the community.
