Solicitor's Permit

The Sheriff's Office issues Solicitor's Permits, often known as "Peddlers Permits" as defined in WI State Statute 66.0423.

Lafayette County has also adopted the "Transient Merchants & Solicitors Ordinance" which states that no person shall enter private property for the purpose of soliciting, canvassing, or direct sales, without first having applied for and obtained a solicitors permit from the Lafayette County Sheriff's Office.
