Commission on Aging Advisory

Committee Description

This Committee shall be comprised of three County Board members and four lay persons.  The Advisory Committee meets every other month.  A majority of the at-large community members must be age 60 or older.  The purpose of the Commission on Aging Advisory Committee is to enhance the well-being of older adult residents of Lafayette County and to promote the independence and involvement of older persons in their community.  The Committee also advocates for older people in order to enable them to maintain their full potential and enhance their quality of life.  The work of the Committee includes policy development, budget prioritizing and identifying, planning, recommending and overseeing County aging services.

Meeting Schedule

Meets every other month.
