The Yellowstone Wildlife Area, next door to Yellowstone State Park, offers 30 miles of designated horseback trails. Furthermore, horseback riding is acceptable on the multi-use Cheese Country Trail and Pecatonica State Trail.
Lafayette County is Home to the Benton and Darlington Saddle clubs who offer organized rides each year.
