Comprehensive Plan

What is a Comprehensive Plan?

Comprehensive Plans help communities prepare for their future. In 1999, the Wisconsin Comprehensive Planning Law (s. 66.1001, Wis. Stats.) was signed into law. This law requires that any municipality that wishes to retain land use powers (e.g. zoning) must have adopted a Comprehensive Plan.

Where can I find the County's or my Township's Comprehensive Plan?

We have copies of the majority of the townships in the county and can be accessed through clicking on the links in the supporting documents box below. Unfortunately, we do not have any copies for the townships of Darlington, Seymour or Willow Springs. If you'd like to have a copy of those plans, you will need to contact the respective township to request copies.
