Land Conservation Committee

Committee Description

The committee shall be comprised of four members of the Lafayette County Board of which three members are also on the Ag & Extension Committee and three lay members who are County residents with one having knowledge of relevant farm programs.  The committee meets as needed.  The Lafayette County Land Conservation Committee (also known as LCC) is a committee within the Lafayette County Board of Supervisors and is established pursuant to §92, Wisconsin Statutes.  The committee is in charge of coordination of activities related to natural resources management and protection relating to agriculture, soil & water conservation, nonpoint source pollution control, farmland preservation, groundwater protection and wildlife damage.

Meeting Schedule

This committee meets monthly (typically the 1st Tuesday of the month).  The time and date of the next scheduled monthly meeting of this committee is posted at the 700 Main Building, Lafayette County Courthouse, Darlington Municipal Building, local press, and can be viewed on this website along with previous meeting minutes.  Anyone interested is encouraged to attend.  A copy of the meeting agenda or previous minutes can be obtained on this website or a hard copy can be printed out by contacting the Land Conservation Department.
