Committee Description

This Committee is responsible for providing recommendations to the County Board on all financial issues in accordance with any Wisconsin Statute.  This Committee will prepare and present to the County Board at the annual session, the budget and tax levy, first in a temporary form, and finally in a complete form that shall be adopted in November.  This Committee will review and advise on the fiscal impact of any resolution, transfer, official report, financial statement or calculation.  This committee reviews and recommends the issuance of debt and determination of investments of County funds, and reports to the County Board, its findings in all matters of illegal assessments, tax titles and delinquent property tax land that may come before the Board for action, with assistance from the Treasurer.  The Finance Committee also oversees and reports on the amount and sufficiency of bonds to be furnished by the different officers of the County.  This Committee consists of the first Vice Chairman of the County Board of Supervisors as its chairman, plus four additional County Board Supervisors.
