Economic Support Services
The Economic Support Unit provides an integrated service delivery system for public assistance programs and employment and training services to low income individuals and families. Providing timely and accurate benefits to eligible recipients within the guidelines of the Federal and State programs to assist residents of Lafayette County and to sustain and improve quality of life.

To apply for all forms of BadgerCare Plus, Medicaid, Child Care and FoodShare you can do the following:
To apply by phone , call the Southern Consortium Call Center at 1 (888) 794-5780 between 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Friday. Call Thursdays between 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
To apply in person , visit Lafayette County Human Services
To apply by mail, request/complete an application for each program you are applying for and send the completed application and any proof/verification to:
